Conception: Ore no Kodomo o Undekure! is an upcoming anime by Gonzo based on the game of the same name. It is set to begin airing in October 2018. (Update: Conception has ended with a harem ending. You can find the page for it here.)
Here is the synopsis from Anime News Network: "The story of the game revolves around Itsuki Yūge, a high school student who finds out on the day of his graduation ceremony that his cousin and childhood friend Mahiru is pregnant. Immediately afterward, Itsuki and Mahiru are taken to a magical world called Granvania, which is currently being invaded by monsters. The only people who can fight and exorcise the monsters are the "star children," and the star children can only be produced by the 12 "shrine maidens of the constellations." In order to defeat the monsters and return to his own world, Itsuki must father the star children with the maidens."
So this anime was just announced today which came as a surprise. The original Conception game that the anime is adapting came out back in 2012 and the franchise itself hasn't had anything new released since 2013. Then suddenly out of nowhere the anime was announced. As a fan of the series I'm excited because of this, but I'm also excited as a fan of harem endings.
For those unfamiliar with the games, it's a turn-based RPG with dating sim elements. The original had 12 heroines each with her own ending, and once you complete each of their endings you can then get the harem ending. And that's why I'm making this post. Who knows if the people in charge will go for the harem ending or not, they certainly have plenty of endings to choose from, but it is definitely an anime people should keep an eye on.
This is a shorter post because it's way too early to tell what will happen with the anime and I don't know much about the first game because I never played it. Hopefully they go with the harem ending, but the thing about this anime that has me most excited is that it could be a sign of a new game coming soon. I've been itching for a new Conception game.
